    100% Agree BeeJ.
Know who the REAL winner is in all this? THE PLAYERS!!
The stodgy greedy PGA Tour was finally forced to change and start paying players what their true worth is- especially when a guy works his ass off to finally win a Tournament. Those guys were grossly under-rewarded for too long.

And, just like the owners did in baseball free agency, the PGA Tour was gonna lose those lawsuits. Restraint of Trade is never looked upon well by the courts.
A couple of our resident Barristers on here can please weigh in and correct me, but the PGA Tour was on a quicksand of ground here.

    100. Plus, when he suffered an injury, it further points out the free agent nature of pro golf. The need to make as much money while you can is paramount because you never know what’s around the corner.

The real winners are the saudis. Yeah the players that went to liv “won” but the ones that stayed on the tour didn’t. By virtue of their tweets and quotes in articles, sounds like a great deal of them are extremely pissed off, as they should be.

    Monahan shouldn’t survive this.

I wonder if this will motivate the Saudis to do this with say another league such as the NBA? They were taking on the radio that they believe the Saudis will try this in basketball as well paying out outrageous money to attract NBA top talent and hold tournaments around the world and within the United States. Would be interesting if true.

The NBA is beholden to China. Somehow the NBA players don’t care about human rights when it comes to the Urghrs, Hong Kong, political persecution or Communism. Just don’t piss the Chinese, who produce NBA supported shoes with slave labor.

Cool, thanks for adding nothing like usual. I guess you like conspiracy theories from rfk jr on a Mike Tyson podcast more than speaking truths about what just actually happened.

Funny you mentioned this. I just read the nba recently changed their policies to allow pieces of franchises to be purchased by public sovereign funds. Would not be surprised to see the nba look like the premier league in terms of ownership within the next decade or so.
