Monahan looks like a total clown. And what a terrible way to release this with zero context or further comment after this response.

The PGA players who stayed (who aren't Rory or Tiger, maybe 1-2 others) have to be pissed.

    1. They were kept in the dark and found out same as all of us.

    2. They lost all moral high ground (if that is one they claimed, and may still feel that way, but the choice was taken from them).

    3. They lost our on a lot of potential money that the PGA surely is not going to make up for. They will get a non monetary thank you from the PGA tour.

Gotta think there was stuff the PGA Tour did not want to come out in litigation.

Makes sense now why Rory went radio silence on LIV in recent weeks after being very vocal.

Guys like Kokrak really come out of this smelling like a rose. He got all that sweet, sweet LIV money, and now he can go back anc play PGA Tour events....if he feels like it.

Meanwhile, Rickie Fowler turned down 75 million from LIV......

With all the lawsuits flying around, maybe some of the PGA golfers will sue the PGA.
...he went up late, and I was already up there.

Every tour player that remained loyal should be allowed to punch monahan in the face and then he should be given the guillotine

Are the details of the merger public yet? I can't find anything specific, but it would be crazy if the merger allows the LIV guys to jump in and out of regular PGA events as they see fit.

Those are my guesses as well. LIV was already scheduling against the weaker PGA events...you know, the ones where only a couple or so of the top 20 were showing up.
