Lol dunno how that means liv golf wins but ok. I will say I’m pretty stunned, it reads like an April fools day article. I hope the things that are good about the game are kept.

Liv was performing horribly and being preempted by Sanford and son reruns. All very interesting… I wonder if the tour was backed into a corner due to antitrust legislation or what really prompted this.

I bet Phil is smiling ear to ear right now, all of this makes monahan look like a complete doofus.

Don't know how the lawsuits were going to shake out, but I'm thinking that when word got out that Nike was offering up to $2B to purchase Smash, the PGA Tour said "we need a piece of that."

Pretty much said this would happen a couple weeks ago. Wonder what vile thing is about the pga and all it’s players joining the horrible Saudi’s now. Will he watch? Lol

We shall see what this looks like. I think it’s gross that the tour sold their souls for a floundering business. My interest in professional golf will probably diminish significantly. I wasn’t a fan already of the changes the tour was making.

Btw it doesn’t seem that they will be equal stakeholders as the tour as reported will still be the major stakeholder.

It’s really disappointing that the tour was clearly winning in all aspects, and they gave liv a lifeboat. It’s a shame that money wins every time.

Think you’re correct. We all know Liv wasn’t doing great but pha viewership was way down and eventually these sponsors would start getting a little nervous.

Reading more about this, I don’t really understand what all of this really means. The tour is still going to be a separate 501c 3 org and sounds like will run its own schedule? I guess details will come out in the following weeks and months ahead.

A couple of total guesses-

- LIV tournaments will receive OWGR points
- Players can play on each tour with no repercussions.
- Schedules will be set with each other in mind.
