Seeing a bit of coverage of this NYC mayoral race, and it seems like Zohran is going to win the Democratic primary. Which would actually give Eric Adams a legit shot to win the general election. That would be pretty wild.

Seeing a bit of coverage of this NYC mayoral race, and it seems like Zohran is going to win the Democratic primary. Which would actually give Eric Adams a legit shot to win the general election. That would be pretty wild.

So far, Zohran has a plurality of votes but not a majority (i.e. 50% + 1). Since NYC uses ranked choice voting, it's still possible that Zohran could win the plurality of votes yet lose the primary to Andrew Cuomo.

I still think there is hope for the moderates though.

People need to continue to isolate and expose the hard-liner, tunnel visioned thinkers as the simpletons that they are. To think that one political party is the axis of evil, while the other stands for everything good and righteous is next-level stupid.

It doesn’t help that the leadership of both parties pander to the extremes and fully embrace the idea that the other side is evil incarnate.
