So...... Ron DeSantis is basically saying it's okay now to break up a MAGA parade by driving over protesters with your car now?

This whole thing is stupid. Collectively, the servicemen don't really seem to want it because they see it for what it is. It's really not about celebrating what they do. I very seriously doubt there will be a $45 million dollar parade in October to celebrate the 250th anniversary of the Navy, or another one in November to celebrate the anniversary of the marines.

I'm glad that VA benefits, particularly those for disabled vets, did get a slight increase at the beginning of this year. But...Trump had nothing to do with that. If he really wanted to support the men and women of the armed forces, wouldn't announcing continued increases and ditching the parade be a much more practical way to do it?? Hell, he could even make it about him!! "Look at what I'm doing! Look at how great I am! I am giving them more!" At least he'd actually be providing them with some tangible benefit!!

Brew: It is always about only him and his family. Vets, immigrants, children, scientists, allies, active duty military are all in the way. He wants more opportunities to make money (see bitcoin, ass-kissing the Middle East kings/princes, dictators such as Putin, leaders like Bibi). This will not end well.

No just right wing lunatics and FBI informants. Just saying there could be potential. If you get away from your new found liberal echo chamber Bluesky, you might see there is a small possibility. Of course if it does, you and MSM can say what a violent group they are.

The Senate Armed Services Committee chairman said he would’ve advised against hosting a big military parade in Washington, DC — an unease with the event reflected by some of his fellow Senate Republicans.

“I would have recommended against the parade,” Sen. Roger Wicker of Mississippi told CNN when asked for his views on the event.

Wicker, the chamber’s top Republican with oversight of the military, said he would be out of town attending the Paris Air Show during the parade, which coincides with President Donald Trump’s birthday
