Josh Marshall...lol. The ultimate 'party over country' person pushing the ultimate party over country position. The fact that you're willing to use his tweets to reinforce your beliefs says a lot. I think it's great that every single Dem got in bed with the most extreme faction of the Republican party. Soulless cowards..all of them.

Yang isn’t wrong but unfortunately this is what politics is today and it’s disgusting in both sides. I really don’t understand how anyone on here can defend one side or the other at all anymore. It’s 99% garbage.

He's a historian. He's pointing our realities in our politics.
    Sorry if that bothers anyone.
...he went up late, and I was already up there.

Democrats can't claim to be the good guys while acting like bad guys.

Not sure voting for the opposition's leader makes you a "good" guy.
Maybe the reasonable R's need to band with the D's and elect a "coalition" leader. Would that make them good guys?

There was a bipartisan centrist coalition. It's likely to fall apart over all the Dem members voting to oust McCarthy.

Huh, why didn’t the Dems do that instead of voting for Pelosi twice? Hmm, we only see to clamor for bi-partisanship when the Dems are out of power in a section of gov’t.

I think it only happens when the Republicans are blaming Democrats for not protecting their partisan leader. If R's have the votes, they can and will nominate whoever they want. They do not. So if they want help across the aisle, then they are going to have to give up something to get that help.

If I'm a Democrat in a moderate district, I am making calls to see what kind of enforceable promises I can get in exchange for helping to cancel out the fringe of the Republican members.

Fair. However, who do you consider fringe? Pelosi is a pretty fringe individual, no?

Hahaha. Paul and Biden on the wrong side again.
Biden is a total incompetent hack.

    From the Wall Street Journal:

“ Biden Administration to Resume Border Wall Construction in Policy Reversal
To expedite the construction, the administration waived laws that protect air, water and endangered species”
