I thought MOR also said he had an injury that's kept him out of action of late - I don't follow LIV to really see how he's doing.

Then again, wouldn't it be up to the USGA to determine his standing? Not quite the same as the PGA (who incidentally let him into the PGA Championship if I remember correctly?)

Jason did not play the last two rounds of the latest LIV Tournament in New Jersey due to injury.
He also had not met any of the other USGA exempt qualifications and so he attempted to qualify back on June 5. His score wasn’t good enough to earn a spot.
Andy Pope also missed-by a shot.

Courses like Pebble Beach and Torrey Pines play a lot different in the US Open than they do during regular PGA Tour stops.

I also like seeing the US Open in primetime whenever they play on the West Coast.

I agree I do love the primetime… I just think west coast courses and us open don’t mix but that’s just me. I know I’m prolly in the minority.

I do like that the place is starting to finally dry out and get tougher. The leaderboard is pretty stacked. Should be a fun weekend.

Agreed. I like the design of the course but a us open shouldn’t be like this. It’s so wide and so dry that guys are bombing it almost four hundred yards in some cases and not getting penalized. Kind of silly

Yep wonder if they where thinking the runouts would go into the rough. Obviously not happening much right now

Wide fairways for sure....especially the way these guys drive the ball. That being said, we could still be looking at a single digit winner if they tuck the pins today.
