Former CIA intelligence officer Larry Johnson says the decision to launch a drone attack on the Kremlin was made by the United States.

The Wednesday attack, which was likely to have been targeting Russian President Vladimir Putin, was stopped by electronic warfare systems which disabled the drones before they could reach their target.

According to Johnson, the attack must have been spearheaded by the Biden administration and the US military-industrial complex because “decisions on such attacks are made not in Kiev, but in Washington.”

to which RFK responded to this attack the other day (and I whole heartedly agree):

“Imagine how we would respond if Russian-backed forces launched a drone strike on the Capitol. We must stop these deranged attempts to escalate the war.”

    He also tweeted this today:

"In 1960, the USSR accused the U.S. of running an aerial spying program over its territory. Our government denied it to the American people, only admitting it when confronted with the captured U-2 pilot Gary Powers. Americans were genuinely shocked that their government would lie to them. Today the lying has become so routine that people are no longer shocked. There can be no true democracy when government manipulates the people with spin, hype, propaganda, phony “leaks,” and outright lies. I will establish honesty and transparency once again to earn back the trust of the American people. #Kennedy24"

Not sure you understand the meaning of the word "peer" and remember you're the one that brought this up.

    Edit: I'll help in context.

    noun
a group of people of approximately the same age, status, and interests.
"prodigies should spend as much time as possible with their peer group"
Maybe they found the only 12-15 republicans in DC? :)

Nah, I'm sure the Congressional Republicans found a way to get out of jury duty. :)

You guys may be right. There were regular law-abiding citizens on the jury...not insurrectionists.

That's not what they were charged with. You really do struggle with the meaning of words Paul.

I'm sure the jury pool looked nothing like the mob who went after the witch in Monty Python and the Holy Grail.

How do you know she's a witch? She looks like one! :)

Here is what they were convicted of:
    18 U.S. Code § 2384: Seditious Conspiracy-
If two or more persons in any State or Territory, or in any place subject to the jurisdiction of the United States, conspire to overthrow, put down, or to destroy by force the Government of the United States, or to levy war against them, or to oppose by force the authority thereof, or by force to prevent, hinder, or delay the execution of any law of the United States, or by force to seize, take, or possess any property of the United States contrary to the authority thereof, they shall each be fined under this title or imprisoned not more than twenty years, or both.

But by all means feel free to nitpick the use of the word insurrection.

    I'm aware. Thank you.

There is an Insurrection Act in place.

Hey, good news! The WHO (not the talented band) officially ended the COVID-19 pandemic.

Thank goodness, I was getting worried.

That's nice. Wonder when they'll get around to charging those who interrupted the Kavanaugh hearings.

Side note. Really looking forward to the hot mess at the border next week. I'm sure you'll find a way to blame Trump and Republicans for that as well.
