Work place violence is a whole different kettle of fish IMO. You have to pick your war, and laser focus on it to make any difference.

It's really easy to enter my local HS, and it's pretty common to not see anyone in the halls when class is in session. This is mind bogglingly irresponsible and totally unacceptable.

Or we could stop putting bandaids on things and causing more problems. Fix the problem… mental health, sensible gun restrictions etc

Really? Wonder why so many schools have to rely on school levy’s?

Because...that's where they get their funding.

It would be ludicrous for anyone to try to go door to door to confiscate peopleÂ’s AR-15s. That would be a death wish if you took that job. Maybe the liberals proposing it can go door to door to do it. The AR-15 itself cannot kill anyone. The mentally unstable person possessing the gun can and can kill groups of people quickly. How as a society do we make it harder for mentally unstable people to get these guns? It just amazes me that these idiots in Washington canÂ’t work together to at least try to fix this problem. Address Mental Health! You know, work together as a United front to keep innocent children and citizens that they represent from being slaughtered on what seems to be a monthly occurrence.

That’s from the already taxed taxpayers. Not the government.

Doesn’t the government only get their money from taxpayers? Confused.

I don't think we can adequately address all the issues of school safety with more officers, metal detectors, etc.
So strange compared to my grade school years. Never heard of any of these issues. It's nuts what we've become.
And I think the prevalence of guns in our society has something to do with it.
You lock the doors in a grade school or not. The guy in Nashville just shot out the glass and walked right in.
...he went up late, and I was already up there.

I am confused too. If the government funds these schools so well why do the schools have to put up their own levy’s to fund themselves?

This is only going to get worse with the next generation.
