I once heard or read somewhere that you have to play with focus and intensity for all 40 minutes at this level. Miami obviously never gave up. I'm not sure this is the case, but could Texas have believed they were cruising back to the Lonestar State at about the 10 minute mark?
Something really went haywire for them, and they lost their mojo as Miami steadily chipped away.X A V I E R

MOR:
Three posters on 247MusketeerReports disagree and say easy call against Kalkbrenner as he didn’t release. Not sure what the rule says in this situation but seems grossly unfair if Kalkbrenner didn’t initiate the contact yet impose a duty to release when all he did was turn around. Game is over but just doesn’t seem right when discretion to make that call exists.
Besides, what is Texas to do when they are urged to “Hook ‘em horns!”? Oh, the conundrum,

I've replayed the Creighton ending a few times.
Not sure which player touched the ball last, as it went out of bounds on the full court pass.
But...for sure the clock started when it was touched, and there were at least .2 seconds if not .3 left when the ball his the deck.
Sure wish Creighton could have gotten an inbound under their basket for a tip shot....he went up late, and I was already up there.

The men's game needs the "advance the ball on timeout" rule. Makes for a better game.

This is the dumbest concept in all of sports. You shouldn't be able to advance the ball when calling timeout. It would make no sense to get to advance the ball 50 yards in football by simply calling timeout, and arguing it would make the game more exciting is a dumb argument.
I think live ball timeouts are equally as stupid. Basketball is the only sport that has them. A quarterback that's about to get sacked can't just yell for a timeout. A batter that pops it up in baseball can't just yell for a timeout. No other sport on the planet that I can think of allows for live ball timeouts. But in basketball, the defense can make a great play, trap someone, and they can just call timeout and get out of it. That's bullshit too!! I say once the ball has been inbounded, timeout cannot be called."You can't fix stupid." Ron White
