Regardless of whether or not they and their voters are happy with the outcome, the very real and public struggles of women to get these services will turn voters out more than the hidden impact of abortions ever did. ‘We did it’ will not turn out votes. Trump knows this and it’s why he’s not owning the overturn. The Dems have won scores of elections on social/culture issues alone, SCOTUS just allowed them to put trans rights, a very weak polling calling card, aside and scream about this. I think it’s going to be a disaster for the GOP this midterm and beyond.

Inflation cooling, jobs hanging in (for now), student debt relief, and abortion. Meanwhile the GOP is stuck on Trump. There should have been a red tidal wave, itÂ’s losing steam fast.

    From The NY Times:
“ SCOOP: The Washington Post is on track to lose money this year, sources say. It been unable to boost subscribers back to the 3 million it had in 2020 -- and CEO Fred Ryan has floated cutting 100 newsroom positions. Story here from me and @BenMullin”

Amazing that when you peddle shit instead of actual balanced journalism that you *might* lose money & subscribers.
Start searching for more biased hacks Paul.

Exactly what do I have to do with the Washington Post?

Former president Donald Trump's conservative social media safe haven, Truth Social, is being accused by a vendor of nonpayment of upwards of $1 million in hosting fees, according to a report from Fox Business on Thursday.

Then again, I thought our resident Trumpers moved on to Newsmax and OANN. Apparently Fox is getting off his bandwagon.

Call it whatever you want. I genuinely couldn't care less which party wins. Gridlock sounds good to me.

The GOP always has good turnout, the Dems is much more volatile so an added interest group/incentive has greater impact to their benefit. I could not have come up with a single tailwind for them a few months ago. This is now one regardless of your beliefs

Yea saw a poll the other day which states what you commented on earlier. New question - threat to democracy. Both scored high on both sides of the aisle (actually scored higher than economy).

I would assume Democrats agreed because of abortion and Trump stuff. On the Republican side is probably due to Trump stuff. Both sides love to play the victim card. Democrats are masters at this and Republicans are not very good historically.

Oh and BTW, threat to democracy is going to be a rally cry for Democrats now until November. Apparently phrase scored well in focus groups. Guess defund police didn’t fair as well. Who knew.

    At the Federal level?

And the past few years of police hating from the Left has caused the forces to be understaffed and underfunded. It will take years to train those new officers.
