I am going to side with them at this point, cause if I knew shit about science I might have done something useful with my life. I also trust them to change their mind if proper data comes out that it could work, cause each and everyone of them is desperate at this point for anything that will provide them any sort of relief.

However, a bunch of non-medical people out there pushing it as a miracle cure is stupidly dangerous, especially when it is a drug that can be picked up at a feed store. Why this was first reported by any news outlet, and why the controversy is now getting so much oxygen by the news is just dangerous. It only further sows disinformation and leads us into these type of stupid debates.

I do find it somewhat ironic that the same people that are anti-vax cause it hasn't been studied enough, have no problem not only jumping on the bandwagon of off label untested remedies like HCQ and Ivermectin, but become the biggest cheerleaders.
Actually:

* we have known about the use of this drug for treating covid since at least last fall

* "If it could work, great, study it properly and let's find out" - therein lies the problem and the controversy - why won't the FDA or CDC study it?

* It's not necessarily used by itself, it's used as part of a cocktail.

* Ivermectin has been around since 1975 has been used safely around the world for decades

* There are many countries and doctors around the world that are reporting great results in treating covid

* The CDC website is now recommending giving it to all refugees

* With vaccines efficacy waning, therapeutics might be are best defense against covid.
