I could see him deciding to resign, claiming the election was stolen, and letting Pence take over for a couple months.
Then Pence would (supposedly to help the country/heal the wounds/whatever) pardon him for federal crimes like Ford did Nixon.
He'd only than have to worry about state indictments waiting for him.

Edit: it's also within his right to ask for recounts where available in close states; which would be sort of like Lavar in a way.
...he went up late, and I was already up there.

BTW. I have no issues with Trump asking for a recount in GA or WI (although WI in particular seems highly unlikely to be impacted by a recount), or any other close state for that matter. I do have an issue with all the lying about widespread fraud, etc.

Just say that it's a close race and you want to make sure all votes were counted accurately.

So what's your point? The R Party made a huge effort to win that seat b/c Trump won the district in '16. The R won the House seat. Where's the controversy?

From you there seams to be much sound and fury signifying nothing.

We agree here. A recount allows for all legally casted votes to be counted.

Not surprised. A guy I listen to on Sirius lives in NJ and said there were Trump caravans in the state for the first time ever.

I live in the district next to Van Drew's. He has the Southermost tip of NJ, which generally consists of Piney Country and the Southern part of the Shore. He actually used to be a Democrat and switched affiliations within the last 2 years (I think).

I'll try one last time. The president said there were fraudulent ballots.
If in a state like Maine, the democratic votes for Biden were fraudulent, why did Collins get re-elected?
Maybe those crafty dems went into a lot of ballots and just switched the Trump selection. That sounds rational.(sarcasm font to make sure)

To keep the peace, I'll note that whatever you think (I'm sorry, I don't quite understand it) let's say you're right, and move on.

He did switch. Good read on the wind in his district I guess.
I've got a good friend that lives near you (I think) in Haddonfield. Great Republican; his dad was a former Governor of New Jersey.

    A couple of observations.

    1) Never saw an election where it basically came down to like vs hate with one candidate.

    2) I’m a big state rights person, but since Presidential election is National, we need some type of universal voting laws and rules.

    3) We are a far cry from four years ago when people were saying Trump stole the election and had years of investigations. Now those same people are saying get over it, he’s losing fair and square. Maybe so with the later, but...

    4) DC is licking their chops because it’s close to business as usual and I’m not talking about bipartisan politics.
