The only minor complaint I have about The Precinct is how close the tables are. It doesn't make me want to avoid the place, and it is about the only criticism I have ever had there. The food is always as good as advertised, and the service is some of the best in town. I like all of the Jeff Ruby restaurants, but The Precinct is my favorite with Carlo and Johnny's a close second.
I enjoyed Jag's in West Chester a whole bunch too, but it is out of the way of most everything. I have not heard a bad review about Tony's, I will have to check them out some time.

Really? I think I'm definitely in the minority here based on reviews online and from what others have said about the place. However I found it to be incredibly disappointing. My wife and I had the tuna bruschetta and the tuna tasted like it came out of a can. The entrees that we had were also extremely salty. I wont ever understand the need for restaurants to try and dress up italian food. Italian food is pasta and a lot of seafood...it really doesn't need to be dressed up to make it taste good. I will say the donuts were delicious though.

As someone who scoffs at the supposed appeals of urban living, I loved this NYTimes article on the Applebee's in Mason. Woot suburban America:

Having grown up nearby I have eaten a shameful number of meals at that Applebee's - and yes, their desserts are pretty good.
Still, with the whole Deerfield Commons monstrosity across the street, there should be plenty of options for the players these days.
I went to the tourney this year for the first time in a decade and was just stunned by the growth in this event. According to a friend who knows such things, the grounds and stadium quality are on peer with the US Open complex at Forest Hills. It's definitely surreal to see Djokovic, Serena, Maria, and Murray in about a four hour stretch with Kings Island visible on the horizon.

Best Restaurant in Cincy
This is all because they stay at the marriot that sits behind the Applebee's. They are given Mercedes as a courtesy car but for some reason most don't have international licenses so they hire drivers.
I know this from all the years I assistant managed and worked at Bigg's that was right next to the marriot. Our highest salad bar sales at any point of the year was tennis tourney time. I guess that Applebee's was next best option now within waking distance.Brown against Burton...Brown starting his dribble...He moves in, he pops up....SCOOORRREESSS!....LENNY BROWN!...XAVIER WINS IT!...THE MUSKIES WIN IT!...71-69...The UC Bearcats are #1 in the country, #2 in their OWN CITY! - Andy MacWilliams

Yes. A NYTimes reporter is in shock that world class tennis players would actually enjoy eating at Applebee's. And my Facebook friends are angry at the writer of the article for not pointing out other Cincy local restaurants and the tennis players for not making a trip into the city to eat at them.
This isn't complicated. Some people enjoy going to Applebee's."I am at this moment writing a lengthy indictment against our century. When my brain begins to reel from my literary labors, I make an occasional cheese dip."
