Obviously that is not the right way to do things either. I'm not sure how exactly to get companies to further invest in America. If it were simple, it would have already been done. What I do know is that tariffs is not some magical potion that will get all companies to do so. A few may, we have seen some examples, but there are also a ton of companies that are already starting to pull back or completely abandon plans that they already had to further invest here. Churchill Downs Inc, Microsoft, UPS have all announced recently that they are delaying or abandoning plans that they had. Our supply chain is way too wrapped up in global trade to make tariffs work and boost domestic production, it's just not realistic.

Ville. It is simple. It’s called revenue/straight cash homey.
Not saying I agree with it however I’m not stupid enough to disregard human nature.
There are a lot of companies that have already made commitments to invest in manufacturing in the US. You may have missed it because of your hate for one man. I give him credit for literally taking bullets.
Just so you’re aware Bezos has backed down.
Also, in case you haven’t figured it out yet. The entire World is a pile and they want your standard of living without the slightest sense of how to create it.Last edited by Strange Brew; 04-29-2025 at 12:35 PM.

It isn't simple, if it were simple, it would have been done 50 years ago.
For as many as you can show that are all of a sudden investing, (which who knows if it is tariffs or not) I can come back with a number of companies that have pulled out or at the very least delayed and have cited the economic uncertainty due to tarrifs. Some I have already mentioned...others are in the news.
The initial report about Amazon was bs, Bezos loves Trump...hes been sucking him off for months now. Trump is great for the ultra wealthy.Last edited by Xville; 04-29-2025 at 12:49 PM.

You seem to have a weird obsession with fellatio.
Anyway. I’ll say it again. There are forests and there are trees Ville.
BT dubs. 50 years ago was 1975 and disco still sucks. Except, Disco Inferno. That’s a jam.
Finally, I picked up a pair of “made in America” jeans for half the price of the designer brands. They are more comfortable and better made. Keep spouting bs about tariffs.Last edited by Strange Brew; 04-29-2025 at 01:27 PM.

Didn't Trump insinuate that tariffs would make the cost of goods go down?? So if that's true, and Amazon is listing these new lower prices and citing the tariffs as the reason for it, then why would the White House have an issue??

Yeah that’s exactly what I’m saying since you know, she didn’t.
Since the other examples you used were not made by the President, my statement still stands. I guess you could say Trump helped push the two weeks spread comment but that was at least an unkown, tariffs are very known as to what happens.Last edited by Xville; 04-29-2025 at 02:06 PM.
