Since Trump signed the trade agreement with Mexico and Canada, and 98% of what we ship to Canada gets no tariffs from our northern neighbor, I'm inclined to go with the reading of the Economist:

I don't know enough about economics to really contribute to the conversation. I totally understood everything you posted but had no knowledge or concept of it before you shared it.

I guess it will either work or it won't, and if it doesn't we'll have to fix it, and if we can't fix it then Trump's legacy will be that of Captain Edward Smith.
