I’m concerned that some “college educated” people are so flippant about what happened.

    Not you GO.

A former President of the United States of America and current front runner was within an inch of being killed.

No, it isn’t the guns fault. It’s ours.

I’d say the gun helped. Seems like Trump would have to be pretty spotty in the heart to be injured by the guy yelling bang at him from 150 yards away. (Credits to Eddie Izzard)

Yes the mentally unstable person who had access to a gun is what happened. Rinse and repeat. Maybe you haven’t noticed but it’s been an issue for a long time now. An issue our politicians refuse to fix for various reasons.

“Ours?” F no. It’s our moron politicians.

    No, it’s you.

I apologize I didn’t realize so many men didn’t grow up without a proper respect for firearms.

    You’re an idiot.

I basically grew up on a farm. We had plenty of shotguns.

Doesn’t mean we don’t have a gun problem in our country, and doesn’t mean we don’t have severe mental health issues in this country.

“Respect your firearms” —- you’re part of the problem for having your head buried in the sand.

Good thing his dad respected that firearm. I guess the kid did too, he used it after all. Doing what it’s intended for… shooting

I guess we can all be thankful he had access to the gun though. Otherwise the mentally unstable kid would have used the bomb materials in his car.

You may have a bigger ego than Trump.

People simply do not understand the founders concept of the people v government focus of the 2nd Amendment. Obviously there was no ability to foresee weapon tech advancement......so a "well regulated militia" Constitutionality is meant to establish EQUAL means of force.

How this Constitutional right has been violently deformed in the fabric of our nations mentality is a completely different situation.
