So you have a bi-partisan group of senators trying to craft some legislation to address our border challenges...and then you get this:

When will people understand he does not care for our country, only himself.

Why didn't your side fix this 3 years ago? Moreover, why didn't Biden keep the Trump policies in place?


This bill is a total fraud - do some research once in awhile outside of your silo:

"Senate conservatives are ratcheting up their opposition to an emerging bipartisan deal that would fund Ukraine and address border security, declaring it a “stinking pile of crap” that will allow millions more migrants to cross into the country without resistance.

Sen. Ted Cruz (R-Texas) argued at a press conference Wednesday that former President Trump was able to drive the number of migrants crossing the border to just more than 500 people a day “without this stinking pile of crap bill.”

He accused Republicans negotiating the legislation of only wanting to provide money for the war in Ukraine and said they will merely provide the semblance of border security reform to achieve that objective.

He said the emerging Senate border deal may give a green light to letting up to 5,000 migrants per day into the country, and it provides an incentive to millions more people to stream across the border. "

Great Question! Would Bobbie, Paul, Xville like to answer why the Dems haven’t fixed this? The Dems only seem to complain when other states try to fix it on their own or when migrants are sent to Dem controlled cities. Biden has the border, and his age as big issues he faces from the independent. His own lefty fan club is also starting to get disgruntled with him over the Middle East. Never thought Trump with all his legal issues and impeachments would get a second term in the White House but it looks like Joe Biden and the Dems will let that happen.

Here’s the problem xuphan. It’s never going to be “fixed,” because politicians want it that way. It’s something they can continually blame the other side for. Hell if it were “fixed” trump would be out of “ ideas” his genius idea is building a wall and poof all will be “fixed.”

It’s way more complicated than trump will have you believe. My question is.. why is trump and cronies really trying to block this? It’s not that hard to find out the real reason

One of the primary jobs of an administration is to protect the country. Part of that responsibility is border security. They have plenty of tools to do so and curb the flow.

Yes overall, immigration is a difficult issue. Securing the border is the part of immigration that needs fixed first. We need to know who or what is coming in.

If you have a boat, fix the hole first before other repairs needed. The problem (among others) with the Federal government, they try fix everything before the basic problem itself. Or come up with crap legislation that fixes nothing while spending billions. Bottom line, border security has been huge problem for a while and both Obama and Trump did a hell lot more than Biden has done.

The reason this administration has finally realized the problem is because

1) they are on the wrong side of the polls. Talking about making it political.

2) it’s now hurting blue states and cities.

3) FBI sees it as a huge security issue and has testified as such.

This is all fair except securing the border itself is not an easy fix no matter what trump says. I do think Biden made it worse and has done a very poor job on this. Problem I have is that the legislation is fine and would improve things but now the “ politics” take over and nothing gets done because people want points or want to deny points. Our wonderful government “at work.”

For the record, I really don’t think that applies. Wouldn’t call it an invasion, that’s a pretty big leap and it applies to all fed government not just the presidency
