    Ha, will do.

Shinners and Stofko? The latter is going further back in time as I recall. Remember them both being very good players. Shinners played in the NFL but not sure of Stofko’s post-Xavier career, if any. The Canadian Football League did have some Xavier grads such as Ken Lehman and Carroll Williams. Some pretty good gridders played on Victory Parkway.

    Somebody did the work:

    https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_o..._the_NFL_Draft

They didn't draft Eroshevich...which reduced injuries in the NFL.

Great post! Remember some of those names. I recall McClinon playing in pickup basketball games in Schmidt Fieldhouse. He was a very good athlete but unfortunately, I also recall him fumbling the opening kickoff in the final Xavier-UC game at Nippert in 1973. Xavier QB, Tim Dydo, could work no magic as the Muskies lost 40-6. Fortunately, Xavier went on to win most of their later games to end up 5-5-1. An improvement on three straight 1-9 seasons but not enough to save the program.

Shinners was legit All American & was one of PB's original messenger guards.
I have seen only two great plays: Hamlet and put the ball into the basket

Sad to read. Obit mentioned both Vince Eysoldt and Buddy Bell. I believe Vince Eysoldt also played football at Xavier. Buddy Bell’s athletic prowess is well-known. There are fewer connections to Xavier’s football past; and, as was pointed out earlier, fewer of us who remember that past.
