If you aren’t a Democrat, the main stream media always thinks there has to be a Boogeyman to the One Party State.
    Always…

So far, it's been hilarious. Hope everyone enjoys this theme for the next 22 months (and the four years after that if DeSantis becomes President).
Pretty disappointing from the media. The only thing that really has bugged me so far with him is the migration thing---I understood his point, but I think it was a toddler reaction, and just gave the dems some ammunition for '24.

Yeah, I don't know if he's great or terrible, but the media treatment so far really does make me want to like him.

Uh, I had to post that because you originally said VP's couldn't classify, then that they couldn't de-classify.
But I see you're coming around to it now. I think you understand Obama's EO superseded Bush's to let VP's have original classification.
    And then you note this:
The experts all say, including a sitting US Representative, that the Vice President has no power to declassify anything-except it he originally classified it himself, and only in certain cases.
So I guess you have now come around to understand that VP's can declassify. Good.

(and no one is saying either president or VP can declassify after they leave office.)

No, not at all as to the boldened phrase. Stop changing my words and meaning. You lefties like cute phraseology tricks.
In Post 16476 I did state that it appears to be up for debate. But if you would care (which you don’t) to read the two links that I posted, the overwhelming evidence is that the VP may have authority, but only if delegated by The President. or if the VP had originally classified it. (Obama did not delegate) (See article below)
Also in link 2 at the bottom of 16476, which has no partisanship to it at all but is a detailed discussion of Obama’s order as to Congress, there is ZERO MENTION of any Vice Presidential authority to declassify anything except that which he classified himself, or any change from Bush’s order in that regard. (See below article from 2006) NOTHING WAS SUPERCEDED BY Obama as to the VP from Bush’s order.
I know it’s hard for the brain damaged to read, but you should try.

So, the VP can declassify things he originally classified.
I think that's what I (and you) said.

    Thanks for that.

The discovery of classified documents at bumbling Beijing Biden's office at U Penn dating from when he was VP happened TWO months ago and yet we are just finding out about it now.

What gives? How come the Dept of Injustice or AG Garland never released this information before now (rhetorical question)? Why NO Fascist Bureau of Instigation pre-dawn raid with guns drawn and media cameras in place ready to capture the action (another rhetorical question)?

Welp, the fly in the ointment is this.
    A) It is up for debate that a Vice President can declassify per experts and news reports.
    B) A sitting prominent member of the US House of Representatives says that the Vice President has no authority to Declassify.

    https://www.washingtontimes.com/news...te-over-vice-/

    C) There is this from Obama’s Executive Order 13526 as to Declassification:

Part 3 - Declassification and Downgrading

Sec. 3.1. Authority for Declassification. (a) Information shall be declassified as soon as it no longer meets the standards for classification under this order.
    (b) Information shall be declassified or downgraded by:

    (1) the official who authorized the original classification, if that official is still serving in the same position and has original classification authority;
    (2) the originator’s current successor in function, if that individual has original classification authority;”

So I’m this case, which is the case of discussion, Biden is not serving in the same position.
Raid his house. What a tangled web is weaved.
