Many people, including the one I directly responded to, were saying the immigrants DeSantis and Abbott were moving about were "illegals."
I responded that IF they were illegals, those governors would be breaking the law.
Specifically a United States statute that I quoted from, and gave the number.

Then I noted that I "assumed" the immigrants were asylum seekers and therefore the governors would NOT be breaking the law by transferring them across state lines. Subsequent interviews with the Massachusetts immigrants revealed they did in fact, have the papers indicating they were seeking asylum.
Of course DeSantis had some of them directed to report to offices all over the country which they couldn't get to...but that's par for the course of someone trying to score political points on the backs of people who have spent months walking to reach our borders. Sort of like your tired, your poor, etc.

Now, how that equates to me "trapping" myself in anyone's mind, I can only wonder.

“Many people” who you definitely highlighted to try to make cheap political points, other wise why even comment unless it was an attempted “gotcha”?
You just can’t keep your mouth shut when it comes to trying to nail your opposition..and you are proven to be on the wrong side time and time again.
How about you highlighting and then disproving those from your side who kept claiming that DeSantis was illegal? That would have been respectable commentary. But naw. Always try to wrench into the angle that cast aspersions on the right.

You should be happy that your state is represented by two Republican Senators- one an upstanding Man of Color as opposed to grandstanding do nothings like AOC and Adam Schiff(Ty).
