Let me spell it out for you, so maybe you can finally understand Lou....I took one example of guns which was mentioned in the thread and is a pretty hot divisive topic and found something ridiculous and is a democratic view of republicans. (35% of republicans believe you should be able to carry a gun without a permit.)

You did the same thing with some republican perspective of democrats and found a link or two here and there of some polls that state that X percentage of democrats believe in y, and try to pass it off that it proves those ideas are not exceedingly rare but pervasive.

You really should start understanding that just because it says it on the internet, doesn't mean it's true.

There were a lot of ballot initiatives last year for restructuring, more training, etc. Only one I could find that was an "advisory" to city council to defund.
Not sure about any nation wide party backed movement to defund the police.

I recall XVille as a pretty staunch conservative/Republican type, but at this point I expect he'd vote for Elizabeth Warren in '24. Point being, I don't think you guys are doing a very good job at being persuasive, which is kinda important in politics. At least it used to be, because the Democrats (here and elsehwere) really suck at the art of persuasion these days too.

Sorry, what you're trying to say here simply isn't true. The attitudes among Democrats (elected and voters) on all 4 of these topics is far more pervasive than "exceedingly rare". To deny that is simply being out of touch with reality.

I’ll look out for your policy opinions more but your posts generally fall more in the soap opera of American politics than real world issues which gives a good reflection of what you think of the democrats. Which you’ve again expressed here. By the way I’m still waiting for a single person to say they like Biden for any reason other than not being Trump. Maybe it’s just not pervasive here.

Lou is basically just another guy that is totally pissed off at how this "Fundamentally Transform America" agenda is weakening our country. Most everyone I associate with are in agreement.

Where we differ, he doesn't seem to understand that Trump seeking the nomination in '24 is political suicide. He doesn't understand that his toxic baggage makes it highly unlikely that he can ever expand his base. Something needs to happen that will force Trump to step away and throw his support behind someone that can build on his America First policies. Game, Set, Match.

Open Border policies and some energy policies im with you on. There has been nothing this administration has done in regards to defund the police, CRT, pronoun usage etc. Those type of things may have been implemented to varying degrees at local or state level guided by the crazies

Yes, this progressive madness has totally consumed nearly every large city in America, because for the most part, every aspect of city government is run by extreme left individuals. Any Federal Law/Policy is extremely hard to implement and takes time. Just imagine what THIS Democratic Party could do with 6 more years in control of the WH and both Houses? It's horrifying to think about!

However, if you don't think the top leaders of this Democratic Party don't support this progressive crap, you're not paying attention. The freakin' VP herself STARTED a recent speech where she emphasized her PREFERRED PRONOUNS....it was like a SNL skit. She also publically promoted a bail fund to release rioters in MN. The VICE PRESIDENT!
