The pandemic is now 2 1/2 years (or more) old and I have finally caught the virus…tested positive for it last night. I guess my superior immune system let a few germs get past the goalie. Took an at home test last night, I am waiting to hear the results of my second test, and once they confirm my diagnosis, I will be prescribed paxlovid for the symptoms. Should be fine by the weekend.

I’m just glad I take such good care of myself. I am a poster child of fitness and wellness, and I am a little surprised I haven’t disposed of the virus already.

Would you people please stop quoting Lou? The ignore button that he richly deserves gets negated every time he's quoted.

Uh, no. Did you just pull that out of your ass?? In fact, I never even commented on this thread until at least late spring/early summer of 2020. So, yes, you should do a little more research before typing into your computer.

As far as Fauci's big coming out party on Vit-D, it seems to be coming from an interview with Jennifer Garner - the day after the link you posted:

"After months of the pandemic and over 400,000 deaths and counting, infectious disease expert Anthony Fauci finally but quietly breaks his silence on Vitamin D and how being deficient impacts COVID-19. In an Instagram chat with actress Jennifer Garner, Fauci admits to the benefits of Vitamin D and that he himself supplements with the vital steroid hormone.

One must ask why it took so long for him to break his silence on this important information? Considering how some desperate Americans thirsty for information were resorting to injecting themselves with bleach, why couldn't he make a public announcement? How many lives would have been saved had they been informed of this information by the leading expert? Will he ever go on mainstream media and suggest Vitamin D supplementation, especially to people of color and the elderly who are statistically and chronically deficient?"

It looks like most of his comments about Vit-D came around the mid-late Sept 2020 timeframe. I could find nothing on Google or Youtube where I can see him actually recommending Vit-D or obesity over the past year (quoted or video evidence). Please spare me the fawning articles of what he personally does and takes for himself - that's not what we're talking about. We're talking about a sustained campaign where he recommends that people lose weight and take Vit-D. This categorically did not happen - so quit wasting everyone's time with your nonsense.

PS - looks like Whackado is playing his little game again. Hurry, hide behind mommy now...

Maybe the virus just did not find you to be a suitable host? You just might not have been worth infecting, ever think of that?

Seriously, I hope you get thru it without much unpleasantness. My wife had the Paxlovid last month and it helped a lot. I’ve had Covid at least twice, once before the shots (VERY bad) and once after (almost a non-event). It’s always possible we’ve had it and not even known it. Regardless, best wishes putting it behind you!

X Band, sorry about that. I should have known when the goal posts moved from Fauci didn't mention diet/exercise only masks...to something about Vitamin D which he recommends for people that have a deficiency, that there was no hope.

Nuts, stay safe and be well.
...he went up late, and I was already up there.

Do yourself and buy some cholate syrup to take the paxlovid. Apparently paxlovid mouth is a very real thing and the chocolate syrup helps out some.

I'm sure Nuts will be back on Jello shots soon enough.

I was on penicillin back when I caught the Omicron variant in January. Don't remember if Paxlovid would have been an option back then.

Paul, you made the assertion, by all means, prove it!

If you can find 6 or 7 examples where Fauci went on any major network or cable channel, spread out over a reasonable amount of time where he told citizens that they should exercise, lose weight or take Vit-D in order to avoid the worst outcomes of Covid, I will concede the argument.
