Is there any proof beyond op-ed articles and private sector professor musings that this is a real growing movement that needs to be addressed? Paul, there are real problems in this country. People are suffering financially. Great American cities are being overrun with rampant crime and homelessness. There's enough fentanyl flowing through our southern border to kill millions of people and we have a President whose 6 quarter approval rating is the lowest in our history. We have an entire generation of children suffering mentally from Covid lock-downs, e-learning and social anxiety.

That fact that people let the media distract them with red herrings while real problems exist is fascinating to me.
I wonder why Paul is ignoring this....

The article was filled with "non-anecdotal" data and the book traces the history and provides surveys.

I can't do all your work for you. The crisis mentioned are certainly real and are being addressed. They have nothing to do with the growing threat of white, christian nationalism.

You have stumbled into the right answer. The first amendment states "Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof"

To comply with the above, the position of the government has to be completely neutral and evenly applied as to all religions. So if you want Christian symbols in a government building, that is fine but you have to allow every other religion to also have their symbols (hence the Satanists you referenced).

Or if you do not want to allow it, that is also fine so long as you ban everything. You can likely have prayer in school, but you have to allow it for all religions, which I would imagine would take some time to get through in the morning announcements.

The Court just overturned a ban on praying during school events. So yes, the State had limited the free expression for some time.

Except that isn't what the Court held. The Court held that the school wrongly punished the coach for engaging in a quiet moment of prayer by himself, holding a government employee could not be prohibited from engaging in quiet prayer so long as he wasn't acting in his official role. (I actually agree with the rule they established, but think they just completely ignored the actual facts of this case).

So, is a gov’t employee allowed to say a prayer while in an official role?

I was reading about our countries obesity epidemic in the Covid thread, and it prompted me to post a related disaster here.

Was listening to some talk radio on a road trip yesterday and they were discussing how ALL branches of our military are woefully lacking in signing new recruits. Stated that numbers are as high as 40% less than the Pentagon wants, year to date.

Now that's troubling enough, but this is very disturbing.

They cited a recent study that found, I think they said, only 30% of eligible aged recruits are healthy enough to meet enlistment requirements. Stated that obesity is the main driver in making 7 of 10 ineligible...... also mentioned mental health issues.

Now get this, evidently the study polled a group of young people in the 30% that would be eligible to serve and only 10% would consider the military a good option. Said the remaining 20% stated a variety of reasons for not considering, but the current "Woke Policies" at the Pentagon were among them.

Does anyone else think this is among the most serious problems we face, considering the increasing Global threats to America on Biden's watch?

Very much so. The problem is that this generation has never truly been threatened and are soft as marshmallow fluff.
9/11 was a one day “happening” not a true war or threat. The wokes have created “threats to democracy”, “threats to the climate” and “threats to their person through unsafe words”. I hate to say it, but unless some major sustained true threat starts, this society here is gonna just melt.

Speaking of a "true threat"......Pelosi landed in Taiwan a little while ago. There is so much Global tension right now. Things haven't been this scary in a very long time.
