Captain Obvious says this team has really good halves and really bad ones. The former will keep them from losing to most bad teams. The latter will kept them from beating a lot of really good teams.

Coach Steele is still having trouble getting 40 very good minutes form his players. If he can, then this team could be dangerous. That and getting his players to the line more. Shooting more free throws will be crucial in games when the team is not shooting well.
Amazing how both halves summed up how potentially bad this team can be and also how potentially good this team can be.

Did you notice that effectively, the lineup didn't change in the second half? Basically cameo minutes only from Hunter, Kunkle and Odom.
The starting 5 were marathon men. If Jack didn't get Foul 4 he may have never come out.
    GOOD

Which also raises the question. Should the rotation not be subbed for so quickly so guys can get into a flow?

I am an asshole and a fool stop reading my random posts.

Still, top half teams beat us. I had this as a loss so I am glad we won. We need a better than 500 season to make the ncaa.

Think the team gave Steele a wedgy, swirly and dunked him in a locker at the half.

    Analytics guy....

Anyhooo, glad to see the boys play with some fight. Who's next?

In the 4 games prior to today, Johnson was 2/17 from 3. That is ugly.

When he makes shots like today 4/5 X looks good.

So, is it the coach or is it the shooters?

Is good shooting in this case still masking poor coaching decisions, or did the coach manage a good outcome with the shooters finally connecting?

Golf is a relatively simple game, played by reasonably intelligent people, stupidly.
