Dude - believe whatever you want - I could care less. The two assertions I've recently made are not mutually exclusive, and could very well both be true. Just because you don't want to believe they aren't true doesn't mean they can't be. At least I provide studies and data to back up my assertions. You and XU82, on the other hand, continue to believe people who have consistently lied to you:

    1) That Covid does not spread during BLM riots
    2) That illegals do not spread Covid
    3) There are literally hundreds of examples of pro-lockdown, pro-mask politicians and media people who have been busted not following their own rules, regulations and postulations.
    4) Covid is demonstrably not a risk for young and healthy people, though the media and politicians would have you believe that they are just as much at risk as an 85YO with heart disease. Are young and healthy people dying of Covid? Of course, but at rates no more than the seasonal flu.

Yes it does mean that. It literally says it on the website.

Also, nothing like railing on the CDC in one situation and then using CDC information as gospel in another.

Really sucks and is ruining many Christmas activities and plans. Ugh.

I will be getting the monoclonal antibody infusions, most likely Monday. Bad timing with it being closed Friday for Christmas and then the weekend. Hoping I don't get it, which could be bad for me.
I was going to post an update on monoclonals and treatment updates but didn’t want to interfere with the very enjoyable posts on how few deaths are actually related to covid. Blows my mind that is an actual thought in a human brain which supports my Russian bot theory. Anyways….

In NE Ohio we are almost exclusively seeing Omicron variant as of this week (which is insane) and nationwide probably pretty close to following suit. If your exposure is omicron (likely) I would hope you are getting sotrovimab as it is the only mab with activity against the omicron variant. If it’s Regeneron or Lilly I don’t want to say it’s useless as there is some lingering delta but here is the updated data on what we are using and it’s in vitro activity:

Sounds like you are in post exposure prophylaxis stages due to your immunocompromised state and sotrovimab is not indicated for this I don’t think, so it’s something to consider between now and Monday. If you haven’t tested positive it’s worth doing daily testing to generate that indication for treatment vs PEP. Again I may be making assumptions that aren’t true but worth mentioning.

We can back to Ohio to visit family for Christmas. We have been here for 24 hours and just heard that my Sister’s (unvaccinated) kid who was over at my parents house playing with my kids for 5 hours yesterday has a fever and headache. We are awaiting COVID test results to find out if we can attend Christmas Eve with my wife’s family.

The “guy” is either a troll or just really fucking stupid. Regardless, he’s a complete waste of time.

He can’t even keep up with the lies he tells while speaking out of both sides of his mouth.

Wow, great information, thank you. I will for sure try and test daily then (I think I have enough rapids to do so) to see if I end up positive so I could go for sotrovimab.

You are correct that I am doing it for prophylaxis post exposure.

How is EvuSheld against omicron? I have been wanting to get that but neither UC (where my PCP is) nor Children's (where my immunologist is) apparently have it yet. Also will I still be able to get that after getting monoclonal infusion?
