I travel all over the country for work. In the last 90 days I've been in TX, CA (twice) , FL, OH, CO

No one is doing anything. Sure they may have mask mandates, but very, very few are actually enforcing them.

95% of the people are ready to move on.

The virus is going to persist and develop new strains.

Do whatever YOU need to do and deal with the consequences of your choices.

I was just in LAX on Sunday and there was a flight to Hawaii near our gate and they kept announcing about uploading you vax card or something.

Yes, you had to show vax or negative test to get into Hawaii. But test doesn't work for indoor dining. Has to be vax (in theory; but, as noted, often not in practice).

Gotcha. So in theory you can not be vaxxed, just tested, go to Hawaii, and not be allowed to eat (at least dine in) while there?

But also almost nowhere there is fully enclosed (or at least it seems that way), so I'm not QUITE sure what "indoor dining" even means there.

Ah, the business traveler head cold. I started taking Zicam before flights (Oct-May) to keep those away.

Mengele is a little harsh (and inflammatory) however it's not that far off if you know the man's history.
