The Globalists/Marxists running our country are taking us down.

A sign of the times update. Politico Influence, Politico’s newsletter on the lobbying industry, is reporting that the US Chamber of Commerce is now requiring proof of vaccination for anyone who enters their DC offices. The National Association of Manufacturers and the Business Roundtable are also instituting vaccine mandates.

I think it's fine to want to understand the origins of the virus, etc. and if it did come from a lab that's a BIG deal, but I don't think it absolves blame from anybody else.

I don't agree with your point that the 30% are hopeless cases either. I think maybe 10% are, the rest are people that have consumed way too much misinformation. I know of at least on person who got the vaccine after being 'against it' due to pressure from work. Oddly - their biggest concern with getting the vax was that they didn't want their friend group to find out, which tells you how this has ceased to become a medical issue for many and has become a political one.

Our DIL is one of 6 (SIX!) daughters. They all seem to have the same leanings. They have similar political views, they are all vegetarians, they all have the same breed of dog, etc. One of the older daughters is the “leader” in many ways. She was totally anti-vax until recently when a friend became ill. She was the last person on the planet I would have imagined getting the shots, but she went out and did it after seeing how sick the friend became.

I’m sure she’s glad she has the shots now as at least one of her kids has tested positive. It’s interesting to me how this is so polarizing, and encouraging that at least SOME people are capable of changing their position regarding the vaccine. I hope the rest of the “girls” come around as well following that lead. Our DIL has expressed concerns because they hope to start a family soon. Is that a real concern, or just an excuse? I’ll probably never know.

It will also be interesting to see how going back to the office affects people. Many large employers are going to require vaccinations in order to return to work. That’s pretty tricky stuff and I’m glad I don’t have to manage thru that. I wonder how many more people will change their tune when it complicates their employment situations.

The sterility/infertility thing was started by a respiratory researcher at Pfizer who wanted the European Medicine Agency to suspend the vaccine, citing the possibility of infertility for an undisclosed amount of the time, the theory was that syncytin-1 which is important for development of the embreyo for the fetus was relatively similar to the spike-protein of COVID (what the population failed to realize with that, is that if that were true, just getting COVID in general could lead to sterility/infertility, but I digress), so that it could possibly cross-react and mess up implantation of the embreyo which is vital for growing the fetus. HOWEVER, this study: https://www.sciencedirect.com/scienc...66334121000684 shows the claims are false (and gives all the background information), if your DIL has a serious concern about sterility/infertility and has any questions what so ever about this study (limitations, data interpretation, broken down into simple terms) feel free to shoot me a message, and I'm happy to answer any she may have.

For the first paragraph, I think a lot of that is exactly what we're seeing in the general population. A lot of people don't see the realities of COVID when it's bad, citing statistics, people's general symptoms, etc. and that is "their reality" so to speak. However, health care providers are walking through ICUs where all the ventilators are being used up, getting pretty damn good at intubations, and watching oxygen sats drop like flies, etc. Things we see aren't what the public sees, and even if we "show the realities" it's written off as a conspiracy, an extrapolated data point, etc. I could tell you horror stories in any patient population right now, but that won't change anything until you can have a visual, emotional, physical, etc. conceptualization of what it's doing. I'm ALWAYS happy to explain all the facts behind the vaccine, the level of protection it gives (it's basic immunology), how it gives protection, how it works, what risks/benefits it has to anybody that's curious about it. I'm happy to do that about any condition or diagnosis, or medical thing, that's my favorite part of the job, being able to communicate this complex language and pathophysiology into simple terms to A. educate patients, but more importantly B. ease concerns and build rapport.

No. That’s not great at all.

Not trying to start an argument, but I honestly have to wonder how many were vaccinated.

I find it interesting that of all the things I threw against the wall in post 5626, this little add on is the one garnering the discussion… 🤷

Thanks for the link. An online survey of 5 mil is hardly a cold stone fact.
