I certainly don't think the government has earned the trust some give it, though. I can definitely understand some people doubting the "mainstream narrative", particularly when people seem so eager to censor those who even question that narrative. It wasn't long ago that Facebook and Twitter were censoring people who claimed Covid leaked from the lab in Wuhan, and every major network called that a "conspiracy theory". It's shit like that that keeps the kookier "conspiracy theories" viable. I mean, we KNOW our government lies to us and keeps information from us. Sometimes it's hard to figure out WHEN they're lying, so some people default to the government is ALWAYS lying.
And then, sometimes the government and its agencies aren't lying but are just wrong.

That's a very fair point RE: trust in the government. With respect to Vaccines though, I look at it as trusting the entirety of the medical community more than specifically trusting the government. I also think you can look at the motive a little bit to help decide the government's incentive to lie, and I'm not really sure exactly what would be 'in it' for the government to lie about the vaccine being (at least predominately) safe and effective.
Now it is looking a little less effective against Delta, but still pretty effective.Eat Donuts!

Well, XVille was right not to believe that only 10 million people in the US were going to be infected with Covid. Oh, he didn't say "only"?

Your zeal has affected your ability to be objective. I’ve stated previously that as best I can tell the vaccine (if we allow it is a vaccine) does what it was designed to do - not prevent infection, but reduce the risk of serious illness and death. Everything I have read indicated this is true. What I am not persuaded about is that which no one can rationally be persuaded about - how long immunity lasts and the potential negative long term affects of the vaccine. These are things that are factually unknowable at this time. You have decided the rewards outweigh the risks. I am undecided - which is the only rational conclusion in the college absence of evidence - and especially in light of evidence coming out of the UK, India, and other places. You don’t have to be objective, I just wish you wouldn’t pretend that you are.

But that is the problem, the scientific questions about which every human on earth is presently ignorant, namely how long immunity lasts and how safe the new vaccines are, are unanswered. If you want to draw final conclusions out of ignorance that is your choice. I remain uncertain, and therefore I remain undecided in regards to these particular questions.

Self-awareness, my friend, self-awareness....
From you just earlier today:
And yet!! - you engage in the exact same thing that you accuse the doctor of - except you had ZERO data to back up your statements / opinions / "misinformation" re-published in my previous post!
