Nobody is going to change anyone’s mind, so I won’t even try. I’m not extreme in either direction, but figured there was probably no serious harm to fear either way. Pretty sure I had it, and I survived. Pretty darn sick, but I got over it. I got the shots, I have no regrets. I don’t claim to know that I did the one and only right thing, it’s just what I did. I saw no serious or realistic harm in it, so why not? I’m just fine, thank you very much.

xu82, is a good...no, great man. The main concern I've always had, is this is a virus (meaning it spreads). Your personal freedoms should be granted to you. Right to speak your mind, bear arms, and live as you please (without government intervention).

Those are individual rights. But what about the greater good? What about the public that is at risk because of your decisions?

On the contrary I have used this forum as a springboard into further digging, which has resulted in changes in position on several COVID-19 matters.

Glad to hear that. I can’t swear it’s the right thing to do, but I honestly believe it’s FAR more likely to help you than hurt you. As for the people who try to make it political, I don’t give a rip either way.

I agree with your decision logic, but remember everyone’s risks are different based on age, health and prior infection. So the “right” answer varies.

Yeah it is, for me anyway. I’m vaxxed and I’m not wearing a mask unless it’s absolutely mandated like a health care setting. Back to normal life.

Here's the deal for those who say it's over - it's not! That's why we continue to debate this. Masks have just been been mandated again in LA. There are mandates across the country/world for vaccines. MID is absolutely right: "everyone’s risks are different based on age, health and prior infection". That's the point! Don't tell me or anyone else what to do. It's my freaking choice!

Why do we skeptics have to rely on "unapproved sources per XVille" is because the mainstream media is completely in bed with the government. They're not telling you the whole story. How can we trust the government when they continually lie about this pandemic. Why have they never recognized previously infected people as being immune? Why do they continue to say that children are at risk, and need to wear masks in schools or be vaxxed? These are demonstrable lies! There are many others that leave us skeptics no reason to trust anything they say.

Why has the CDC stopped tracking breakthrough infections? What are they hiding? Is it that maybe the vaccines aren't quite as effective as they led us to believe?

Here's the latest official stats from Public Health England. As I posted yesterday, the UK is experiencing a major spike in cases - despite being the most vaccinated country on Earth. 90% of the citizens have had at least one jab. The data below compares fully vaxxed versus unvaccinated people who have acquired the Delta variant in England:

As I've made clear many times in the past, the proper response should've been to protect the vulnerable populations. If they, or anyone else feels the need to wear masks, socially distance, avoid the public or get vaccinated, by all means, please do so. But don't tell me to wear a useless mask, shut my business down or force me to lockdown or make me take a jab (via passports). That's the point I, MID, Strange Brew and other have been trying to make all along. If none of these actions were mandated, and the CDC provided complete data that people can use to make more informed decisions, I wouldn't be here complaining.
