He talked with the provider about this and was told that he’d be reported as a new case, even though he’d already been counted a week earlier.

If that’s accurate, how many are cases being over reported?

With all due respect, what is the point of this whole line of thinking? Does it make you guys feel better if some amount of the 10MM COVID cases and 243K deaths are overstated? This is an anecdote with a sample size of one, and quite frankly I know more people who probably had COVID and never got tested than likely false positives or 'double counted cases'.

What is the point of this, and what does it accomplish?

Here is a link to the weekly deaths (all causes). Notice the spike in April when COVID hit.

    CDC Weekly All Cause Deaths

There is, however, some good news (if it holds up) is that as of October the number of 'excess' deaths that are likely attributable in some way to COVID, so our treatment seems to be improving dramatically (or the disease is mutating to become less virulent).

If my 8 year old can wear one all day for school, so can you.
Thank you for perfectly demonstrating my points about "group think" and "blind obedience". I will also add:

30 years from now there will be libraries filled with books on the psychological damage done to children as a result of their parent's hysterical response to a virus that has virtually no impact on them. Your child has a far greater chance of dying in a car accident than dying of Covid.

Can't be worse than the psychological damage caused by science denying fucks who caused this lockdown to last 8 months (and counting) when it could have been controlled in about 30 days by simply wearing a mask.

The whole fucking world is wearing a mask.... and yet, the virus continues.... Who's denying science (or reality)?

Fixed that for you. Here is a link to article that reviews Lamb's history, credentials, and what his colleagues have to say about him:
I'm not sure what you think you "fixed", but yes, this is the hit-job. CNN (big surprise) and other left-wing media also picked up on it too. You would think they should have learned their lesson from Nick Sandman about character assassination.

Keep going, you're on to something.

Damage? Damage done by compiling and analyzing data? I thought we wanted to "followed the science". Heck, that person with the '80's sitcom character name just went all tourettes on XU Lou about denying science. Now you're concerned about damage done by science? Please, do explain what damage you speak of.

Well, that is just not true.

The “whole fucking wold” is NOT wearing a mask. I see selfish, arrogant people at the grocery store who can’t act like a adult and put one on for 10-15 minutes for the sake of the people around them.

The virus continues, indeed. What would it look like without partial mask wearing? You cannot answer that, but I won’t be surprised if you make some shit up.

You fight this so fiercely, I have to wonder if you are not just trolling. You can find some links to fit your narrative, but the real world of science, not to mention common sense, disagrees. Even if they just MAY help, how can you argue against that? You “probably” won’t get into a car accident on the way to the store, so why wear a seatbelt?

I wear it to protect other people, not myself. I can’t see how people can argue against that. It’s just being a decent human being.

Everyone knows that 90s sitcom characters are the way to go when unloading on XU_LOU about being a looney science denier!

I have zero worry about COVID to my personal health, but I wear a mask when I’m in public because there is no downside to doing so. That being said, the statement that this would’ve been contained if all Americans had worn masks for the first 30 days is silly and has no scientific support.
