The fact that there is a detailed Miami Herald article about some nobody taking a $40k/year nothing job is very strange.

One has "freedom" to assume risk.

One does not have the right to risk others, by not wearing a mask around others in close proximity.

The Secret Service is known to be individuals who assume the risk of taking a bullet for the president.

I wonder if they ever thought he would risk their lives by exposing them to himself, staff, and thousands of unmasked rally goers.
...he went up late, and I was already up there.

As I indicated earlier, the reason would appear to be the damage this guy might be able to do if DeSantis actually listens to him.

Those guys aren't really "risking" their lives, though. Secret Service guys aren't going to die of Covid anymore than they're going to get struck by lightning.

OK, but this guy is at the very bottom of the totem pole. Who cares?

Thank God some in the Supreme Court see the dangerous path we're heading down: https://thefederalistpapers.org/us/j...ctions-liberty

In response to STL and Paul - actually there are a lot of activities that we take part in that impact other lives. Driving for one! Hiking or mountain climbing - if you get lost or hurt on the trail or mountain, you put the lives of rescuers in jeopardy. There are many other examples.

Good grief, the Mayflower pilgrims, the Revolution era Patriots, the pioneers, and the men who stormed the Normandy beaches must be either crying or laughing at us for being a bunch of whiney-ass pussies.

I can't believe how people are so willing to give up their freedoms and rights. This is scary. What else are you willing to do, or not do, just because the government or some bureaucrat orders or tells you? How many normal Germans simply obeyed because they were told to do something by an authority?

Not a boomer - but the greatest lesson I learned from the 60s generation is to question authority. Today, there is zero questioning of authority - in fact, most of what I see is group think and blind obedience to authority. Too few people are questioning the data - too few people are not looking beyond what the mainstream media is spoon feeding them.

You might want to ask yourself why "Build Back Better" is a slogan used not only by Biden, but also by several world government organizations and actors.

Take this FWIW. Just heard someone on the radio talking about his COVID experience. He tested positive after a few symptoms. He felt better the next few days and went for a follow up test about a week after the first test. He still tested positive, which would be possible. He talked with the provider about this and was told that he’d be reported as a new case, even though he’d already been counted a week earlier.

If that’s accurate, how many are cases being over reported?

I think the whiney-ass pussies are the people who can't tolerate putting a mask on for a few minutes while they run to the grocery store or other errands.

If my 8 year old can wear one all day for school, so can you.
