He could easily string a couple birds together and make the cut with the holes he has coming up... The field is so packed that making the cut is no easy feat. Rory was the betting favorite coming into the week and will have to shoot a 65 today to safely make the cut.

After the Masters, this is my favorite tournament of the year. I used to live on the 10th green there and I used to have all kinds of “fun” all over that course. Sometimes it was even golf related!

I thought they pre-tested everyone.
Jason will have to wait for another tournament....he went up late, and I was already up there.

Sounds like they tested 369 people before the tournament. Guess he woke feeling symptoms and got tested which came back positive.

If you can’t have a golf tournament excluding fans without people testing positive, I don’t see how we have hoops or football in the fall. Sorry, just having a skeptical moment here.....

Is it wrong I’m impressed he shot a 74 with COVID?
Here’s a decent article with some info on this:
https://www.golfdigest.com/story/pga...d-19--wds-fro/
There are reports from the same author of this article that many caddies have concern that many golfers/caddies are being too cavalier and not following the distancing recommendations/protocols the PGA instilled.
Like all sports that start up, they knew there would be positive tests, will contact trace all positives, and there’s a good chance everyone will be fine. If there is an exponential increase in positives it could be a problem. Though there is far more physical contact and transmission risk in the NBA, if everyone adheres to their bubble it could work out nicely.
Also - Watney was likely to miss the cut and he gets $100k COVID + stipend.... but further discussion on that is probably better for the politics thread :)

I have seen only two great plays: Hamlet and put the ball into the basket

I only knew he hit a draw, didnt know it was low to be honest. I do know a draw is tough to control and tough to hit right fairways with. I hit a draw and been trying to figure out how to fade the ball more.
