One thing I will do is tip WAY high. These poor people can use some generosity. I got my first restaurant food/takeout in about 5 weeks today. It used to be a daily thing for lunch. It wasn’t until I picked up and left that I realized they just added a 15% tip when I called in. Next time (maybe tomorrow?) I will tell them to make it more like 100%. I’ve saved a small fortune over the last month or two, but a lot of that has come out of their pockets. These people have kids, and bills to pay, rent to make. Time for all of us to catch up a bit.
Yeah. I have been thinking about what I would / wouldn't do once we are allowed out.

For example: My family belongs to a Fitness center that we used to frequently use. They had in-house daycare for the kids etc. and it wasn't cheap, but we enjoyed going. I'm thinking about cancelling or suspending my membership because as much as I can't wait to get back there and work out, it seems like a gym is a pretty good place to spread germs. Fortunately we have a home fitness center with free weights and an elliptical, as well as bikes for outdoor exercise. I just can't see myself going to a gym any time soon.

It will also probably be a little while before we go to a restaurant.

    So the options are:
    1) Hide from it for the next few years until a vaccine is discovered.
    2) Go live my life albeit cautiously, and maybe get it someday and have a 99.8% chance of survival.

I’ll go with 2. The first one sounds worse than death to me.

Exactly, I choose 2 every day! I get both sides of the argument but people act like there will be no death if we don't open up the economy. I could argue we would lose more people due to suicide and heart issues if we remain closed.

    This outlook doesnt look great.

Really not looking forward to the precautions I will have to continue to take most likely as an immunosuppresed person, especially as a younger person with a young family. I can't even get the vaccine once they come out with it. I will benefit however from other people getting the vaccine through herd immunity.

I also really hope we find out that people are not getting this a second time and are immune for at least a year once the get it. All this talk about antibody testing is great to show who has had it but unfortunately we don't know anything more than that they have had it. We dont know that they are immune to it and wont get it again.

    800k cases 41 k dead = 5%

    We've only tested 3.6m out of 327m.

Governor DeWine made it official today, schools will not reopen this school year. He isn't ready to make any statements about the fall.

This wasn't surprising, and it's a good move.

So you agree he is correct? If we test 327,000 million people the cases will go way up, but the deaths will stay the same. So if 800,000 cases are confirmed off 3.6 million tests, I guess the actual count of cases could be 72 million who have had it and were never tested. That would mean that you have a 99.94% chance to survive this thing. Now 72 million is probably a stretch, but the cases are way, way, way higher than 800K.

Also, Florida has 26,000 cases and only 754 deaths. I thought all of the spring breakers were going to cause them serious problems. And Florida has a much older population than other states.

Yes it would have been dumb to have them come back for three weeks. Sucks for the seniors though. Oh well, if this is the worst thing that happens to them in life, they will be just fine.

This is a really big number.
