You are probably right but you can probably say that about every virus. Not everyone who has the FLU actually gets tested so the number reported is probably lower than the actual. A lot of people get sick and just take care of themselves. I am sure with this it’s the same thing.

I dont know why people are arguing with masterofreality. The numbers are clearly WAY lower than experts said they would be, even with strict social distancing.
At the same time, this seems like a great outcome. If only a handful of people die in Ohio, we should be ecstatic. It will also give us more confidence to slowly open back up and continue to spread out the rate of infection through the summer.
I was nervous as hell two weeks ago, but since this week, it seems like we are on track for a relatively quick recovery. I just hope there wasn't too much lasting damage to people's jobs.

Thanks Fellah. I agree with everything. The models are proven to be wrong but the outcomes are wonderful. I have agreed with DeWines moves to date but this thing is now dissipating as per real numbers and no medical facilities in the state are being overwhelmed.

I agree with you 100%. The arguing was based on this:
Let’s hope the numbers stay low when we reopen things. I went to the grocery store today for some essentials and it was packed. There was a line to get in as the store was at max capacity. However, most everyone was wearing masks and keeping distance. Good hand hygiene. I think that’s going to be the norm once this reopens some.

As I have stated earlier I agree with the precautions that have been taken. With the data we are now getting I believe it is time to start having the conversation about when and how things are going to open up. I’m not advocating for tomorrow or kids back in school , but, I believe that it is time to look down the road and plan the re-opening of things. Let’s face it this process will take time. I think it would be prudent to keep an eye on the problem but start thinking/discussing the future.

Nice try, but I never said the models were great/accurate, I was just responding to your ridiculous statement that “there is zero underreporting in Ohio.” Which there clearly is. Which has nothing to do with hospitalizations or model accuracy. Simple statement that was wrong and you are the one shifting goal posts.
