If only there were a solution to this that didn't also tie health insurance to employment...

This is long overdue. All other insurance you pay for in the open market.

Also whats long overdue is having healthy people who take care of themselves paying the same premiums as those who don't.

If projections are correct, premiums are expected to jump 40% on average in 2021 just due to covid 19. We are so effed.

Or the private cos. could dip into the 50 billion they made last year....

Something I didn’t know: there was a pandemic early-warning program. They detected novel coronaviruses very similar to COVID-19. One of their labs was in Wuhan. Those are unfortunate and strange coincidences!
