    Some Good News
This hydro chloriquine drug ( the drug that is used to treat malaria & arthritis) that Trump is fast tracking to treat Covid19 contains quinine. Quinine is an ingredient in tonic water. Therefore Gin & Tonic could be good for you in these times.

What is your deal? Is my assertion hitting home for you? You also didn’t answer my original question.

It's not blind hatred of Trump that causes some to be concerned.
It's the result of 3 years of innumerable false statements that cause people to approach his reactions with caution.

KMCRAWFO I hope all goes well in your practice. Stay safe.

Yes we need to all pull together, and hopefully we get good direction from our leadership.
People knew this was coming. Lots of people. Here's a good roundup:

Ok quick math: Approx 2000mg/day quinine dosage for malaria, so let’s assume that would be about the effective dose for COVID-19. 1 liter tonic contains 83mg quinine. So....You need to consume 25L/day of tonic to achieve similar doses of quinine.... actually thought it would be more so that’s not so bad.

25 liters is lots of tonic. As much as I like G&Ts, I think I'd go with the meds.

Is chloroquine treatment may actually turn out to be the real deal. What a blessing if that ends up being the case.

So, in summary, chloroquine appears to be effective at treating the coronavirus in vitro (i.e. in a test tube). Unfortunately, no controlled Studies have yet shown that it is able to treat the virus en Vivo which means actually inside a live person. However, case studies seem to be showing that it actually has the potential to be a inexpensive and effective treatment

However, since it is already an FDA-approved drug this is something that can be fast-tracked and made available to the public almost immediately should have proved effective. This is not like the year-and-a-half wait for vaccines because those don't even exist

I have scoured the internet and it turns out that we had the first chloroquine discussion in the US, just 10 days ago. You can find it in this thread posts 22, 25! I am not convinced that Trump himself does not read this forum. Just like the coaches and players at X during the season.

That said, there is some in vivo info from China though very small and the data is sparse. Here is some data:

Haha does this mean we can take credit for finding the treatment of COVID-19? There's an amazing ER physician on Reddit who had been on top of the Hydroxychloroquine/Chloroquine treatments the entire way, I followed along with the papers he talked about, and then the mechanisms, etc. Someone asked him how he knew so much and he just responded with "I read lots of stuffs" hahah, brilliant theory about the chloroquine, and he called it much earlier than the reports I read on and posted in here 10 days ago (of course you mentioned it first). There's some sources I'll go look through that I had opened with more trials on these two drugs, I want to say I saw somewhere Japan is in the clinical trial phase of this thing as well, but don't 100%.
