That’s got to be weird as hell for everyone there. I heard someone today who was scheduled to call an “empty game” who felt strange about both teams hearing everything they said.

First and foremost, we should take any virus seriously. However, it is truly amazing how much the media can still drive a narrative. Hats off! Obviously this is antidotal, but to see how the reactions of democratic leaning vs republican leaning individuals on this message board has been impressive.

Not to put anyone into a box, the Democrats are changing their daily lifestyles (not a bad thing) while having major concerns and Republicans are not...interesting. With any disease, precautions should always be considered, but don’t overreact.

Being in the medical profession over 20 years , I too thought medical stuff would transcend politics, but I’ve since been corrected. Man I wish I could rewind the clock and bring back the optimism in medicine GIMMFD has...

Sorry this post has been political, but thread already is. On a positive, this will have a positive effect on the flu season and reduce the mortality rates.

To me, I'm worried about as much as I would be with the flu. I know its "different" but older people and compromised individuals die from that as well.

Not particularly, no. I mean, I'm not going to Wuhan or Italy, but I'm going about my normal routine and not at all worried about it.

Democrats believe their news sources and Republicans believe their news sources.... Listening to Rush and Trump spew out information that it is just like a typical flu season likely impacts the Republicans option, just as CNN showing nonstop video of panic and people proclaiming massive amounts of death may impact the Democrats opinion. It goes both ways, which is quite obvious.

I'd say you are under appreciating the "difference" compared to the flu.

I'm not saying anyone should completely change their life but if you do have loved ones who you are around on a regular basis that fall in that riskier group I would say it is probably smart for you to at least change some aspects of your life.
