Jeez, I was responding to Nuts' post (that he doesn't want to live near Muslim savages OR savages of any kind) and the response to said post. It's a simple fact- people don't want to live near crime and people who commit crimes, regardless of race or religion.
So shame on you.Last edited by XU 87; 08-09-2016 at 03:21 PM.

if you can't see a comparison, I feel sorry for you. Refugee or not, there are processes in place to vet individuals...those processes have failed in the past. Do you really feel that the process for letting refugees in this country are full proof, especially refugees coming from a country that has fought for thousands of years and a large number of the population that disagree with our way of life?

Woh boy. Well, I'm interested to hear your example of who slipped "easily" through whatever cracks. I mean, no system for admission to anywhere (be it a country or flight or your movie theater) is perfect, but active terrorists aren't coming to the US through the refugee or asylee program.
Also, the point of the US asylum/refugee program is to give safe haven to innocent people fleeing harm from their home country on account of an enumerated ground (race, religion, political opinion, etc.), with the important distinction being made between the despotic governments and the people they rule. Ignoring scores of people because they come from difficult parts of the world ignores a basic tenet of the program and the fabric of this country.
I live in metro-Detroit which has the highest Arab population outside of the middle east. Though the governments of these individuals' countries of origin may feel otherwise, the people certainly have no issues with our way of life. They yearn for it.Last edited by kyxu; 08-09-2016 at 03:18 PM.

No process is perfect, and our lapses in national security over the last 20 years are well-documented. But by and large, the refugee vetting process is about as exhaustive as you can get, and the few breaches (which are few, considering the number of refugees the US accepts) are not worth shuttering the program or and do not support Trumps remark that we "have no idea who we're letting in."
