Thanks for the bump - reminded me I have a season of House of Cards to watch!
Just got a new curved 4k Ultra High Def TV and they said Netflix is one of only a few places for content at this point. Anyone know about that? TV not hooked up yet because it's going in a room that's still being built. Need some content to check it out. You know... just like we watched a 3D movie once - even if it meant watching Toy Story or some such nonsense.
(BTW, HHGreg had a 48" Samsung for about 40% of what Best Buy was selling the same Samsung but 50" and maybe a model year newer. HHGreg more into furniture and didn't go through old inventory, I guess.)

I have heard that, I might check that out next, I dont think I would otherwise have watched if I didnt keep hearing that from several people.
We just finished Bloodline Season 1. I really liked that show, excited to see the next season but not excited to have to wait so long."I’m willing to sacrifice everything for this team. I’m going to dive for every loose ball, close out harder on every shot, block out for every rebound. I’m going to play harder than I’ve ever played. And I need you all to follow me." -MB '17

Loved both for exact opposite reasons. Kimmy's resolutely positive outlook was charming and I love the goofy supporting cast. It was the complexity and darkness of Daredevil that had appeal, although you could argue that both leads refused to cave in no matter how bleak the circumstances. And I admit I got a kick out of seeing Fulton from Mighty Ducks on screen again.
I finally decided to delve into The Wire. Not Netflix but definitely worth the time.

I got the Samsung Ultra High Def last year. The picture is amazing. Almost too good. If you are watching a sitcom, it feels like you are on the set. And if any actors have a bad makeup job, its completely noticeable. It takes some time getting used to the picture. But you can't beat it if you are watching sports. And yes, Netflix films in 4K. Breaking Bad did too. Enjoy the new TV. I didn't get the curved screen because it was about $1,000 more than the flat screen.

OK, on Netflix we've burned through House of Cards, Daredevil, Reckless, Bloodline and now into Sense8.
Any recommendations that are like those shows for other Netflix series?...he went up late, and I was already up there.

Daredevil is great. I guess there are still those that view comic books as something for kids. Which is a shame as they're some of the most enjoyable TV and movies being made today....if anyone read Frank Miller's The Man Without Fear you'd realize it's not for kids. I'd go so far as to say you'd be a bad parent giving it to someone at too early of an age.
Bloodline was great too. Maybe the best Netflix original series yet...if Ben Mendelson doesn't get nominated for best supporting actor it'll be a travesty. I'm not sure season 2 will be as good due to how they told the story, but I love me a slow burn and this was quite that.
I'm going through shows I watched in high school with the wife now. Some of the old HBO staples. Just finished Six Feet Under, Sopranos is on deck. Weird how dated the shows are, but love going back and seeing just how influential they were.
Other than that I've been watching a few things week to week. Silicon Valley is even better in season 2, paired with Veep I think it's the best hour of comedy that has been on TV in a long time. Veep has just such a tremendous supporting cast, it's fast and smart unlike anything else on TV. The showrunner left so it will be interesting to see how next season holds up.
And Hannibal season 3 just started. This is one of the best shows that no one talks about. Probably because it's NBC and not Netflix, FX, HBO, Showtime etc... It is pound for pound the BEST show airing on television right now...and I'd like to think I know something about good TV. Season one starts off pretty slow but season two was incredible. You can check out those two seasons on Amazon Instant.
If you look at Netflix's lineup this year of House of Cards, Kimmy Schmidt, Bloodline, Daredevil, Wet Hot American Summer, and Orange is the New Black I think it is neck and neck with HBO this year, and arguably even better.

Wow, I wasn't sure about the curved screen, but we decided to try it. It was only $1,147 plus tax at HHGreg. We looked at Best Buy (closer to $2,500 for 2 extra inches) and rushed back to HHGreg before they could change their mind! Glad to hear they have content. More Netflix in my future.

I've switched over to Amazon Prime for my on demand fix. Considering they have a crapload of older HBO shows, that's where it's at for me. Burning through The Wire right now, on to Deadwood next and then Rome. I know I've seen them before, but after years away, they all are like brand new to me. And if I just saw correctly, True Blood was added too.
