Let's see how things look when Davis and Martin are back.

For the game, 4 were by Stainbrook and 4 were on Davis and both are skaking off the rust from not playing a competitive game last year.

I don't think the TO's are all that bad. We were a bit sloppy but most of the turnovers were the type that didn't lead to transition baskets.

The FT's are another matter. It will lead to some nail biting I'm sure.

Those FT attempts lead me to drink more bourbon during the Tennessee game to calm my nerves. I don't think I ready for a full season of this method.

Somewhere Bourbonman is chuckling under his breath.

HOLY COW you nailed it! A whole new promotion coming soon to a store near you. I can see a consumer sweepstakes to a basketball clinic focused on free throw shooting. Watch for the Point of Sale materials. Big prizes to the winner. 2nd place a trip to the Final Four. First place get to go on the Bourbon Trail. Last place you have to watch a season of ud basketball from the 4 level at the dump!
It's time for a bourbon on the rocks!

The ACC has 17 out of the Top 100 recruits. The Big East is second ranked with 15. The AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAC has a nice fat 4, barely on the radar..and ZERO for SucKS.

We are all so use to instant gratification...or instant disappointment.
Hopefully our administration, AD and coaches take the longer view for success.
UNC didn't fire Roy Williams when they missed the tournament in 2010, but after the unusual stuff in the last 2 years some wanted Mack gone.

I have to believe that some coaches competing for our recruits would mention the Dez situation, or us not going to the NCAA's last year, or the fight, or whatever.
But faced with all that, and being in a new league where we are picked 7th, Mack and his staff got our best recruiting class ever.
And the top rated BE recruiting class, and a top 10 class nationally.

I don't know what will happen with it, or this year for that matter. Nobody does. And with our desire for instant gratification there are bound to be rough times ahead. But hat's off to Mack and the staff. If you take the long view, Xavier is just fine.

    Some in August, 2012:

"The sky is falling....The SKY IS FALLING"
"NO recruit will ever come to Xavier ever again"
    "AAAAAAAAAAAAARRRRRRRRGHHHHHHH"

    Uh, no.
