Not so long ago, it would have been hard to imagine the Muskies playing a conference game, in the middle of the week, on the road, on a national broadcast channel, in Madison Square Garden.
We've come a long way. Let's keep it going....he went up late, and I was already up there.

Will be interesting to see how we respond based on the last meeting. St Johns is super athletic and they exposed us on the boards. No idea which way this one will go, but it feels like this team is building some confidence and momentum.

A win would be so huge. It's the best possible win remaining on the sched. Small chance though.

Matchups matter for this team. This may be the toughest matchup in the BE for X, as the first game showed.
They are big and athletic across the board, especially athletic underneath, play pressure defense at the perimeter, and have the personnel to put a tall and physical plus defender on Conwell (K. Richmond, e.g.). Being in MSG and against a HOF coach don't help.
MU was a terrific victory but Ben Gold does not present the interior challenge (especially in D and rebounding) that St J's does. I also worry about foul trouble (every game) and exhaustion down the stretch.
To have a chance, McKnight has to have the great game with the ball that he had against MU and we have to find a way to make some threes.

X +7.5 seems more in line than what the Marquette line was. Probably a stay away for me. X playing a heck of a lot better lately but just such a bad matchup. I hope to be pleasantly surprised.
