Why DO they deserve guaranteed money? Because the NBA, NFL and MLB do? That's not a good answer.. Golfers play an individual sport and make money based 100% on individual performance. I look at golfers like MMA or Tennis, or competitive skiing. In almost all non-team sports there is no guaranteed money outside of endorsements.Quote:

Yeah golfer doesn’t have “guarantee” money but average tour player is making north of a million dollars in tourney money alone.
And Federer is one of the top players in the world..jo shmo tennis player is not getting an appearance fee for anything. Yes, MMA guys get nice guaranteed money when they make the card of a major UFC event, but the overwhelming majority of them make jack shit until they actually win something of substance.
