Before some start to lose confidence in Des’ ability to start next year, there is thing called freshman to sophomore leap. Yes he struggled with decision making/turnovers but showed flashes as being a well rounded player. His shooting should improve with a full off season with Sean.

I've had some friends suggest that Free will not be back next year, either pro overseas or transfer to another school and that there seemed to be more to the story with his injury and absence from the team.
Would actually really love to see Free come back. I get if he wants to start pro career, would be disappointing if he transfers to another team.
Coach Miller raves about Des, he likes that he can sub in and play spots 1-4. Solid defender and a year of experience, he will have a big role next season.Quote:

With the development of the portal and successful examples of established players leaving a school for more NIL money elsewhere----Nigel Pack got $450K to transfer to Miami last year----it is only a matter of time before one or more veteran players, here at X, tie their return to a specific sum of NIL money. I'm not there yet; its a bit distasteful to me. But that scenario occurring seems inevitable and will likely happen sooner not later. NIL is about letting free market compensation principles into college sports. Could be going on right now.Quote:
