If we were to take the cleveland clinic data in a vacuum it would appear that vaccinating people post covid may not have benefit. But this is not surprising since most people that had covid in their study had it within the 10-12 month timeframe we start to see natural immunity wane. If the study were to be expanded for years the results would probably be different. So the wording is important, and I think a good conclusion is that immunization post-covid may not have immediate benefit. But since supply is not an issue, investing in future immunity may not be a bad idea if we want eradication.

Well, I wasn’t being facetious. I don’t KNOW how much masks help, but it felt like the prudent thing to do, if only to give the grocery store cashier a little peace of mind. Prior to Covid I was never a “wipe down the shopping cart guy”. Give your immune system a workout. When the kids went to pre-school, our immune systems went to boot camp! All good, despite a few rough patches.
I think we just went thru a strange period in time. To me, there were a lot of reasons to play along. We were able to get shots early as care givers for my 93 year old mom. Her mental health concerned me as much as our physical health.
It’s complicated, but I don’t see a sound reason to fight it too much.
