Basketball IQ-
A player who has a knack for making mentally sound decisions that positively effect a game while routinely avoiding the boneheaded ones. A player who possesses a natural feel for basic fundamentals and is convinced they make a huge difference. A guy that consistently makes winning plays and seems to need very little coaching. I picture Freemantle here.
Glue Guy-
A player that has a solid all around game and knowingly focuses on key intangibles. A team guy with little ego. One that has the respect of his teammates. This type of player typically gives 110% effort, in game AND practice. A true team leader. A big vocal guy or someone that displays a a quiet confidence....makes no difference....ALWAYS by EXAMPLE. Carter is a fitting example here.
I'm no basketball Webster Dictionary (nor do I play one on TV) but I have witnessed well over a thousand games, so maybe it will help you deal with your adversity to the terms.

Yeah I think barring major foul trouble, Miles may have just seen his last signifcant minute of the year last night.
"I’m willing to sacrifice everything for this team. I’m going to dive for every loose ball, close out harder on every shot, block out for every rebound. I’m going to play harder than I’ve ever played. And I need you all to follow me." -MB '17

Ok, under-used jargon.
I'm an older dude, but I like to keep it fresh and git wit the hipsters.
I love " Downhill Assassin " for Odom. I brought that handle here early. Picked it up from an AAU basketball blog. I like it because it's original.
I'm not sold on the Zach "Big Frostie" thang..... "ZFree" seems old school cool.
IDK, you kids with your minds in the gutter.....KyKy = JELLY?.....very juvenile.
Snipe just came out with his new best seller....wait for it.....GROWN ASS MAN!
If it doesn't go over well on this board, he can get the Dot.Com rights and market in the Porn Industry..
CJ Wilcher picked up something in his Senior HS year. They called him "SHANK" for the killing instinct mentality. ?????
No, I am totally making this up. but I do like it. I will try to make it stick if he starts slinging arrows.
Lastly the "Balls of Steele" nick for Coach Travis. I realize that it hasn't got much traction yet, but I think it would add some color to ANY game broadcast.
Thanks, I'll be here all season.Last edited by Xuperman; 12-03-2020 at 04:57 PM.

Tandy better be concerned about getting minutes (not starting) with kunkel now playing

This can go one of two ways with Tandy. You sulk because you didn’t play much or you learn to play within a system and shoot when you are open. Tandy can have an important role but he has to be willing to accept it. If he does, he and the team will be much better off for it.

X has now 7 guards fighting for playing time.
If Kyky cant play defense or team ball, he needs to learn yesterday. Opposing teams will want to not let him go off for 6-9 straight points.
I feel comfortable with Scruggs, Johnson, Jones, and Odom. Off the bench, know your role. Kunkel, Wilcher, and Tandy still will play but if there is a significant drop off, keep the 4 guards that bring home the bacon.
