Mack stated at the coach show last night that Kaiser needs to rebound better and alluded a change in starting lineup is possible for Saturday.

Naji replaces Kaiser today in starting lineup. Kanter also starting for Tyrique to offset offense. Hopefully this works to jumpstart Kaiser, he is a key piece to this teams success.

Guess it worked. Feels like this should be in the “Greatest Coach in America” thread.

He's a mystery wrapped in an enigma! Has yet to crack 500 points as he approaches his 100th game. Basically he has been reduced to a role player of sorts, never really a key piece in offensive schemes and more of a defensive specialist. Is 1000 career points even possible? No doubt he will still come up big at some point this year but there is no debate that there is no scoring consistency whatsoever. I know some will not like anything posted that can be deemed negative when everything is going so well, I just think the team is better when KG is more involved.

Ehh just a shooting slump. 3-20 from 3 the last 5 games. He'll be fine. Just keep shooting.

What is crazy is that Naji has been a bit better of a defender lately.

Look at all the scores on the team/teams in front of him his first 3 years!!! His roll on the team is to be a secondary scorer and a plus defensive player. It's not rocket science as to why his career point total is where it is.

I call him a dangerous weapon if you decide to focus on the other players. I've spent so many years thinking "wow, this team has so many weapons, how will the other team try to guard them?" and then the games start and you realize that the team really only has 2 maybe 3 viable offensive weapons. For the first time in a long time, EVERY one of the 9 consistent rotational players can get double digits. EVERY. ONE. And 3-4 of them are legit 20 point threats depending on the defense and the way the game is flowing. They also ALL rebound and pass well. This team is SPECIAL.
We've come a long way since my bench seat at the Fieldhouse!

Once Kaiser consistently puts the ball on the deck and attacks the hoop, his 3 shot will open up immensely. He will also draw fouls where he is an excellent shooter as well. He is fully capable of doing this, but does take a backseat on the team we have now. I think next year you will see him avg 15ppg. Hopefully he channels March Kasier for us again!
