They listened and started out 1-0 in your 5 game stretch, 6 in a row now, would be awesome to see them get hot!

Imagine if we get Scooter back healthy and Votto actually starts to return to his former self. He looks abysmal at the plate.

    Via @redreporter...

LRT: Joey Votto's hit .349/.415/.506 over the last 30 days

His K/BB is still all out of whack for vintage Votto, but that's certainly a lot more like the Joey we know and love than whatever the heck we saw in April/May.

7 hits in the last 10 games.......... .218 BA / 2 RBI's ..... Have you seen him at the plate at all? This all during the 6 game winning streak.

4 of those hits are double, one is a homer. He raised his OPS by 11 points in the last ten games, his average went down 3 points, and and his OBP went up 4 points.

He's actually improved his stats (other than average) in the last ten games.

I'm not saying he's been good this year, I'm just saying he's looked a lot better recently.

That just tells you how bad he has been this year......especially April and May

No question on the decline......but no one saw this coming...... seriously should consider retiring after this year if he doesn't get better.

He would be getting paid 23 million a year through 2023, why would he retire?

In his last 27 apps beginning 5/24, Joey Votto is hitting .366 with an on-base percentage of .440. Among Major League leaders in that span, is the fourth-highest BA and third-highest OBP.

If he did that in April and May, we might be in a much better place.
...he went up late, and I was already up there.

Absolutely. But that applies to Puig too and having Senzel up. Barnhart has regressed. While at the same time Iglesias and Dietrich have outplayed their averages.
