As an aside, I always thought it would be kind of fun to have an exempt tournament with all of the area teams. X, UC, NKU, Miami, and UD all being in different conferences meant that if we all played each other within 14 days it could count as an MTE.
But...that rule has now changed, so it doesn't seem as cool anymore. Playing all four teams and having it count as an MTE = good. Playing all four teams and having it count as four OOC games = much less good."You can't fix stupid." Ron White

This might be the one year that something cool like the Ohio Championship Bubble could be done. X, OSU, Miami, Ohio, Wright St., UD, Toledo, Kent St. Cleveland St., Youngstown St., Akron, Bowling Green, and Clifton Community College. 13 teams. 12 games in one location then your conference season.
We've come a long way since my bench seat at the Fieldhouse!

Yes! And it looks like they actually pulled it off. Both UAB and Southern Miss had crowds that looked pretty much the way they normally do. I think UAB also allowed tailgating.
If the schools that are playing football can finish the season without any issues, I think we will have sports back in the winter! And without a bubble!Last edited by xubrew; 09-04-2020 at 10:47 AM.

Yeah, a couple of AAC teams in action tomorrow and a big BYU/NAVY slugfest Monday night. Baby steps!
