Gonna give Steele a shout out. He needed to go, probably a year earlier than he did, but I don’t hate the guy like some do. He’s a good guy, I hope he does well at Miami. He just got to the 20 win mark but I was surprised it was the first time since 99 Miami hit that. (*at least I saw that on Twitter). MAC is a great spot for Steele and one you can dig in and learn. Good for him.

Nobody hates him personally.

But they hate what he did to this program.

It could literally take a decade to fully recover.

Dez Claude today: 1 point on 0-9 shooting, 4 TO's with 1 assist in 25 min

Compare to X having a total of 6 TOs with 24 assists in 200 min of play . . .

Not meant as a shot at Dez, meant more as an observation that while it's taken some time to yield results it appears Sean knew what he was doing with the retooling. Better ballhandling, better FT shooting, more steals, better 3pt shooting all with defense that's better than we've seen for a long time.

It'd be a shame if this team doesn't win the next two and doesn't make the NCAA . . . they've been playing like a tourney team for most of 2025.

Sad note here. Just saw that the wife of former walk-on (and current Colts director of college scouting) Matt Terpening died last month. It was apparently very sudden.
